new key

lost key for my A6 2006 Audi Quattro 2.7tdi bought new key from Audi dealership key opens car by door lock will not start is there a procedure to go through

You might have more luck over in the A6 forums but I'm pretty sure that after 2001 the RFID code of the key has to be coded to the car.
