Default Newbie mechanic question. Have the car jacked up on one side and even after

looking at pics of where people have put the jack stands is not helping. Where do those little buggers go? Do they go forward of the front control arms? There is that whole plastic liner on the front third of the bottom of the car; can you place against that? Sorry to sound so dumb, but everyone's gotta learn and I don't want to screw anything up.

You guys would have laughed at me pumpling that thing in my narrow garage. Had to stradle it with my back to the car so that I could put my whole weight against it .. LOL. Oh well, it's up, now where to put those stands? Help.

Default duck way under - look for round rubber disks

that's the place - unless you put the jack itself there, then it depends on what end you're working on

<confession>I don't use the jack stands for quick tire changes, etc - I know, bad girl </confession>

Default that's cool

which end of the car do you want to work on (first)?

I use points under the front suspension or rear shock mounts (as example) depending on what I'm doing back there

Default Uh, Marty told me to yell at you about this...

She wouldn't give me details but she said there were two words to do with painting your stairs. She only told me to say "ladder" and you would know what it was refering to.

Default Ah yes, LOL. She told me she had you watching me. I'll tell

you the story some day. I was good, jack stands, wheel chocks, everything. And I didn't almost eradicate one of two matching things on my chest....LOL.
