So I've noticed over the last few weeks that the audible alert, or chime, in my car [2000 TT] has stopped working. In other words, if I leave me lights on and open the door, there is no chime alert. At first I thought door pin, but this happens for other things as well. Usually you get a chime when you get low on fuel, I still get the dash warning, but no chime. Same thing for low wiper fluid, I get a dash warning, but no chime.

I had read somewhere that having the service reminder on can cause this and mine was on. However, I recently reset it and still have no chime on these events.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?
