Default No good deed goes unpunished (Elizabeth Smart content)...

Just about everyone now knows that abducted 15 year old Elizabeth Smart was found alive yesterday.

Turns out that the kidnapper was brought into the Smart family's life when Elizabeth's mother met him on the streets. She gave the transient some money for food and then brought him into her home to provide him with work and additional money.

She was rewarded by having her daughter kidnapped and who knows what else. Food for thought.

When I edit, why do I get a message that the thread is locked?

Default It did allow me to edit and reply. However...

At the top of the edit screen it gave me a message that read something like "This thread is locked. You cannot reply to a locked thread".

Must be a software thing.

Default I think the software is selfmoderating your posts :-) Seriously - I have no idea why

it's doing that. Post it in the Feedback forum or send Johannes and email on it - he's the software guru!

Default food for thought...

nearly 300 million people in this country. We hear about this one case. Involving one girl and one kidnapper.

Not saying it's unique, it does happen to others too, but it's the exception, not the rule.
