Not happy with Zaino after it rained here...
since the "spotting" was so noticeable. I really had to work at detailing the car. My other car with Zymol beaded up nicely compared to the Zaino.
Additionally, I have to wonder about the fact that Zaino "highlights" surface scratches or makes them appear to be scratches while the Zymol product actually covers and hides what Zaino fails to achieve in this area.
Hmmm? Perhaps use both in combination with one another? Or simply go back to Zymol and become a Zaino "defector?"
Thoughts? Comments? Surely, some wit...

Steve, it rains a ton more here than where you are; I don't have that problem with Zaino...
Could you be doing something wrong during application (although I can't think what it might be)?<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=3177"><img src="http://members.home.net/cmelick/audipics/sig6.jpg" border="0" alt="Click Image to View Registry Information"></a>

Re: Not happy with Zaino after it rained here...
A friend here at work warned me about how his car did the same thing. His story was more drastic however. His car is black, and he said after a heavy rain there were water spots on the car, and they wouldn't come out at all, and he had to go all the way back to the beginning (wash with dawn, claybar, wash with the Zaino soap) and after the zaino soap the spots were finally gone.
I figured this was a perfect opportunity to continue testing the two Z products, so I left both the Zaino'd car and the Zymol'd car outside this past weekend (I live in the Chicagoland area, we got hit pretty hard a few nights). Both cars beaded like a champ, and no water spots to be found on either car. EXCEPT the zaino'd car's roof. There were some water spots all over the Zaino'd car's roof, which came right out with a soft cotton cloth.
So, I'm not sure what would be the cause of this, but I would give Sal a call. He would probably have a better idea of what caused it, and how to possibly fix it.
I'm guessing it just has to do with acidity of the rain in question. Where do you live?<p>

ANSWER: Think it is a mixture of ash and water from our many forest fires...
as for the scratches and the way Zaino doesn't seem to cover them as well, I have no idea...
