Not impressed with "QUATTRO" on icy road
I drove past Flagstaff to go skiing last week and had no problem getting around ice covered parking lots, but when driving straight on the highway over patches of ice and snow at moderate speeds, 35-55mph, the car seems to wobble as if it's trying to adjust.
I assume I'd be way happier on a completely ice covered road. What are your experiences?
(Disclaimer: I haven't driven on an icy road in years, but I grew up doing so in Cincinnati in a RWD Camaro with no issues.)

TT is not a good ice driver. Tires make a huge difference, which is why most of our
brother TT pilots in the north have summer and winter tires. I suspect a set of Blizzaks or Hakpalettas might help things considerably.
FWIW, most A4Q owners would dissagree with your opinion of Quattro.

What kind of tires do you have?
I've driven in the snow (I know its different than ice) a couple times this winter and while it's felt a tad squirley in some instances, I never felt nearly out of control. The only cars keeping up with me are Subarus and other Audis it seems like.

hmm........35-55mph on ice and it wobbles to adjust....
i was born in detroit...grew up in michigan winters.....then spent time in northern europe, as well as chicago.......and i'm PRETTY confident in saying that if you're doing 35-55mph through patches of ice/snow....you SHOULD be getting adjustment out of your car.....
I would much rather feel that adjustment, than feel nothing at all. It tells me the system is awake...and feeling it.

I have Eage F1 All seasons. I agree with the thought that a real Quattro would handle better. I just wanted clarification that this is how this system feels. I've had the car 50k miles and it's the first snow/ice it has seen. I think I'd consider an A4 or a Subaru for my next car based on this.

I had the exact same experiance with my TT, go it aligned and the tech said
that the R. Rear was out of wack.
After the alignment it's solid as a rock.
I live in WI and drive / drove icey and snow covered roads all my life. That was the ONLY time the TT ever acted that way.
I recommend you get the alignment checked, you're prob a bit off. You should also be able to see a bit of funny wear on the tires that are out of alignment.
