Default Off the subject...................

I've been hanging out at the TT forum for about 2 months now (ever since I threw down two grand on a new 180HP FWD TT (didn't want to wait for the 225Q)). I must say, I thoroughly enjoy reading the forum messages. It only adds to the anticipation of its arrival (hopefully mid-july). But, has any one else noticed there are never any messages posted by women. Just curious as to why.

Default Actually, it is on the subject...

As I mentioned earlier, I was interviewed recently for Audi Magazine (looks like June '99). I think that I was chosen mostly because I gotvto know some very nice people at Audi. However, per an Audi contact I apparently fit their demographic profile. And what exactly is that? Here it is:
1. Male (I qualify, although I recently broke up with my girlfriend and haven't had the chance to prove it lately)
2. Age 40 (I'm 37)
3. Income $80,000 and up (Fits me)
4. Educated (Why not?)
Obviously plenty of folks are going to love the TT who don't fit the demographic profile, but apparently Audi has a target market for this car, and they are we (for the most part). This may serve to explain your astute observation. However, we TT'ers certainly beileve in diversity, and all are welcome!

As you may notice - I'm a woman. I find your site rather amusing- a few boys full of testosterone arguing over their toys!!! Yes I certainly do have an extremely strong interest in the TT. I co-ordinate the Sydney International Motor Show, where Audi launched the TT in Australia. My partner has ordered the 225 bhp model. I, like a lot of you, cannot wait for its arrival. Happy dreaming !!!!

Hello Marina, and thanks for sharing your thoughts. Your estrogen is a welcome addition. I'm not sure that we "boys" really do very much arguing, though. Things are actually quite civil around here. Just a bunch of TT nuts counting down the days until our cars become available, and sharing information (getting info from Audi is not always so easy).
Your 225Q is going to be a blast. When are you and your partner expecting it? I've heard that few TTs will be available down under. Is this true?
Brad, I could not agree with you more on the TT's demographics. Like you, I am proof of the power of marketing, and advanced statistical analysis.
1. Male (and like Bard I have recently broken up with my girlfriend)
2. Age: 36 years
3. Income: 80,000+
4. Educated (sometimes too much for my own good)
Again, Brad, thank you very much for the update on the NM TT delivery dates.
