Default Ohh my, it looks like its time for new tires!

I have to admit that I was close to a chock situation this morning when I checked the wear of my tires,,,

This little babe really knows how to wear them down!

So ,, the Q,,

I have 225-40-18 today,, they are sitting on the rim shown in the pic.
I also have a Haldex upgrade.

What I belive/guess/imagine is that I can change the tires eigher front or rear even if its a quattro thanks to the upgraded Haldex,, correct?

So lets say thats true,, can I choose a wider tire at the rear, something like 245/35 just to make a visuable wider stance or thats the point where my stupid Q stops??

Going 245 35 would keep the diffence close enough to 225 40

I don't think a 245 will fit on your rims. Stock width is 7.5" They might fit on an 8" though.

Default The rims are BBS 8 x 18 with et 33.

Will it look OK using those for 245 at the rear?

Yup. 8" is the bottom of the range for 245/35

Default Is the diameter less important if you have a Haldex upgrade?

Sorry if its a stupid Q, but thats what I heard from other Audi freaks,,

Correct?

One more,,
Will the stance on the rim look much different for 225/40/18 compared to 245/35/18 using the same 18" wheel?

Thanks in advance.

Default I would expect that it would be more important not less >>

The upgraded controller is more aggressive and engages the rear wheels faster and harder,
