Oil additive.
Does anyone use any oil additive as a preventative measure?
My dad uses this engine restore stuff in some of his high mileage stuff every oil change.
My car only has 50k on it but I figured I'd check before I ran to the auto zone to get some tire shine.

Unnecessary IMO in a freshly maintained TT. If you get to smoking under load ALL the time....
you might go cheap and do "additives" instead of a ring job. But a "kompressed" engine needs good compression all the time. Proper oil maintenance is sufficient until the consumption/burnoff rate requires intervention.
