Default Oh, ultimately, the thing that did it was one of those spring-type fits-on-the-bottom sockets.

I borrowed it from the shop across the street.

Even with one of those (I couldn't get the SnapOn claw variety), it took several minutes and a very large pry-bar -- pry-bar connects to socket wrench, connected to 12" extension (so I could actually turn the wrench), extension connected to spring-type thing, spring-type thing connected to filter. I applied constant and steady pressure (deforming the filter a decent bit, as can be seen in the pictures), and it FINALLY started to turn.

Whoot! =D

Default nice. TT isn't the only one with issues.....

although access to the TT's filter is more of a PITA!

this is off of Kirath's A4.

(2 broken filter wrenches, 1 broken belt....yes, the type that hold up your pants!....and a 12pack of Corona later you get this)
