OK, I'm going w/ the Bilsteins first... HD or Sport? Dave?
#2
Chris, I have the Sports, but my understanding is that the only difference between the....
...Sports and the HDs is the length. The HDs are some ridiculously small length longer.
BTW, I've decided to soon move forward with the Eibach Pro Kit Springs and rear sway bar. You might want to consider adding the springs at the same time as you do the Bilsteins since they'll be in the same area and will be doing an alignment.

I ordered "sport"......... I will be installing these myself.. Any tips?
I plan to get an all wheel alignment afterwards...
I have installed MANY sets of struts/coil overs and have the correct (and safe) spring compressor tool.

Here we go.... OK, what are the spring & sway bar pasrt numbers ?
You're right, might as well knock it out at the same time...
Thought you were not interested in lowering?

I don't have the part numbers yet. You can go to www.eibach.com to get them I think.
I'm not so much interested in lowering as I am in getting even more precise handling from the car.

I cant say for sure its the same on the quattro but I will give you this advice.....
I did my springs myself and I ran into the problem on the passenger side that when I had loosened the strut from its mount, I could not get the A-Arm to go far enough down because of the CV joint/axle was hitting on the subframe....you need to take the pass side spindle/hub assembly off to get the strut out.

Sean...shouldnt be any diff Q or FWD..had no probs with mine at all
Strut came right out. no dropping of sub frame or anything..
Hints and tips??
Spring compressor...Bently manual..7mm hex wrench and a socket that fits the tip nut of the strut..A spark plug one works well so you can feed the hex wrench through its center and rotate the socket with a wrench.

The Eibach site is a dead end... All I can find #'s for are anti-roll bars
Where did you get your kit? Did you get the adjustable alignment kit too?
There are a couple dealers close to me, however they're all 100% retail.
