OK, my golf game for tomorrow fell through. Thought I might paint my calipers.(how much time? >

The bulk of the time will be spent cleaning and masking....
Paint the calipers while they are in place. Your results will not vary much by taking them off.
I think about 10 minutes between coats is the norm for most paints. 3-5 coats? I used 3 coats. It took me about 3hrs to do the rear rotors.
2 hrs for cleaning masking
30 minutes for painting
30 minutes for clean up and getting the car back on its wheels.
BTW - passing along some props for "my" sig.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/other/msgs/384348.phtml">Link</a></li></ul>

thoughts...
don't bother with the 4 jack stands.
Spend the morning 'coffee' time taking off the front or rear wheels, cleaning and detailing the well and brake parts and then do a MichaelTT -style job of masking them off.
Scuff the OEM grey assembly with fine steel wool and spray with hi-temp paint. Make sure you use a tone of madking material on the wheel well, etc. Do 3-4 coats and you'll be set. Doing both wheels on either axle at a time, it should take you about 5 total hours for both axels.
Sound like a plan? If not, head to the course and yell "Single!!!", someone else is bound to have not heard of your reputation and agree to play with you! :-)

Use aluminum foil to mask the rotors etc.....quicker and easier
It also stays where you put it without masking tape. Hit the calipers with much brake cleaner..and dry thoroughly, scuff with a scotbrite pad and apply paint.
