Okay, I confess I was bad today, but the guy pi**ed me off.....
So, my wife is sick and I had to go to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription for her and I was already in a not so good mood from a new ding in our door.
So I pull up at a double left hand turn lane number one in the outer when up next to me rolls a earlier 90's Mustang GT convertible with a couple guys in it with the radio blaring. I'm just sitting there minding my own business when the driver turns the radio down, looks over and says, "Hey sweetie, cute car...." Now normally, I'd brush it off, but I was already in a not so good mood, so, I looked, noticed that the street we were turning onto was empty and said, "Yeah, it might be cute, but it'll teach you the true meaning of sorrow....." (Knowing full well I've got a boost problem--where it drops to zero at 5k AND my boost machine was turned off to boot).....I was hoping that I hadn't made a mistake.
So......light turns green, and we turn left together, in 2nd gear, he honks 3 times, and it's on.....climbing to the top of second gear, I hit 5k rpm, and my boost hits zero, and he inches ahead--crap....sweating now......hit third, I catch back up and start pulling ahead and pfffsshhht, zero boost again, but 4th gear, I walked away no problem and left him far behind.......Reaching the next light, he pulls up next to me, and VERY sheepishly says, "Sorry 'bout the whole cute thing....."
I gotta get this boost thing worked out and turn the boost machine back on.....I have a feeling that I would have walked him much earlier had I been 100%.
