OMFG... Spent 10+ hours on the car today, doing the suspension... About 3/4 done now. Have the
drivers front on, passenger rear on, driver rear not touched, and FINALLY got the passenger front CUT OUT!!! of the damn car (6+ hours JUST on that corner!).
It was fantastically difficult to remove the spring from the pass front. MarTT and I tried EVERYTHING we could think of to get that thing out (I will fess up to some of the less brainy ideas later). Then we did the TOTALLY WRONG thing and released the strut from the spring (bad move!).
We called DanoTTS4 to the rescue, and he used his new 24v Bosch reciprocating saw to literally cut my strut IN HALF!!! to get that POS out of there (I am VERY impressed with the 24V stuff, it is just as powerful as an AC powered unit!).
So tomorrow, I will take 30 minutes to install the new front (6 hours in, 30 mins out, hmmmm...). Another hour should result in the drivers' rear getting in. Then to drive for a few days to let it settle before getting aligned and corner balanced.
With the rears go in new Forge tie bars on the lower position, and 1/2 KMAC's on top.
New rims and tires should get in next week, and maybe over the following week I will dabble with the EFU...

I think we must have missed something small that turned in to a HUGE problem.... We just could not
get the strut out far enough from the rotor housing to be able to get it out. The spring compressors I got from Advance were made for 4x4's, not smaller cars... I don't know, obviously we did something wrong, but I just don't know what. All the research I did has a "wave the hands" section where the spring is removed - no clear pictures or instructions. Even the Bently completely glosses over it (not even mentioned, actually!).

yikes
You know, you can lower the front subframe with 4 bolts, that'll give you more than enough room to remove the passenger strut.
If you're putting in a full length shock like a KONI shock, you're going to run into the same problem.
Only a shorter piston shock like a Bilstein will go in without any problems.

I would have been VERY nice for the Bently to casually mention that fact... The KW's took literally
less than five minutes to get in, including all the connections hand tight - NO problem in that direction! Just a royal pain to remove the OEM's.
