OT: CoFfEe cOfFeE COffEE coFFee!!!
<center><img src="http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00004S9GN.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg"></center><p>As my old, (too) trusty, Braun blade grinder "fell" off of the kitchen counter (and didn't break) and then fell down the staircase (and finally did break, so sad trusty old friend, alas)... I was finally able to justify the purchase of brand spankin' new burr grinder - AND I'M VERY EXCITED!!! I've always had to have the local coffee shop grind beans that I wanted to use for espresso or use an old dutch hand-grinder, but now I can do it at home...
Whoo-hoo!!! IMO - you can never have too much freshly ground/brewed coffee. Now I need to go run up and down the stairs, until I feel less "bouncy"

If that's the grinder that I believe it is, it's made by someone else for La Pavoni, and sold under several different labels. It should be fine for drip coffee or the like, but is probably inadequate for espresso, as it is unable to produce the fine grind or consistency of grind necessary.
P.S. If you're into coffee, you should consider home roasting. It's easy, quick, fun, 1/2 the price of Starburnt's, fresher than Starburnt's and you can control the degree of roast.

Star*ucks, was never in contention... I have a local shop that roasts 5 days a week, smells...
incredible - a java-induced olfactory orgasm, everytime you walk in. It is quite expensive, though. So, what can you tell me about home roasting? Do I need special equipment? Where do you get raw beans? etc...
