ot: need advice for skiing in Tahoe
going there MLK weekend, but haven't skied since high school. As I have no equipment at all, I don't know what to bring. What can't I rent?
Do I need to bring my own ski-pants? Gloves? Jackets? Etc. I don't mind buying this stuff, but I'd like to buy as little as possible as I obviously don't ski often.

Don't know that you can rent clothes
Might check http://www.skiheavenly.com/ or go searching for Christy Mtn sports phone # (they're in S. Lk. Tahoe).
You'll be able to rent all the gear that you could want (skis/boards/etc.) Keep in mind there are a ton of places in S. Lk. Tahoe to rent.
Have fun, I hear they've been getting tons & tons of snow,
Dale
