Mormon Cricket. All joking aside (they are a huge problem in Idaho and Utah) they are rather large underground bugs (from what I remember).

Thanks! Actually, I received an e-mail yesterday...

He pointed me toward the attached link...it is a Jerusalem bug(must be close to a Morman bug), pretty cool stuff. The net is amazing!
