Default OTTo out there???

Was wondering how you have the turbo xs set-up. Do you have the vacuum nipple facing up or towards the intake area of the car? And, you said a chipped car should have 3 washers right? How do you have the upper section(adjustable section on right) positioned, all the way down or with asome of the threads showing? Finally in the picture it looks like the piston does not have a flat end, rather a small "nipple" is that right?

Why am I asking all these questions, well, when I took out my PES valve Sat, the piston was actually showing some wear, and when we took it apart completely yesterday it only had 3 washers. And, my piston has a flat surface, where as the turbo xs seems to has something extending off the end of it.

Thanks for the input!

Default I took mine off based on Forum guidance, I put it in like stock; but....

then I through a bunch of DTC's and lost power. I pulled the valve and based on this picture, it is now installed properly with the nipple facing towards the driver's side fender. I was afraid that maybe something got ripped in the vacuum section by installing it incorrectly. I hooked up a vacuum gauge (brake bleeder) to test it, and it operated fine. I checked my remaining washers and I have 6 left and the guy who installed it originally told me there are 4 washers for chipped and 3 for a 1 bar stock configuration (225), so I guess it would vary based on 180 (.8 bar) or 225. I don't know anything about PES, but I think my valve is directly from Turbo XS and is all black. I can't remember the piston shape, but I haven't thrown a single DTC since I put the valve in sideways like how it was when I got the car. Hope this info is helpful.

Default Thanks, one more question..

You say that you have 6 washers left, does that mean you have 6 washers in the DV or 4 since your car is chipped.

Thanks again!

I have six spare washers in a plastic bag and 4 in the Bypass valve. What does PES say about that?
