Ouch!

So it was one of the stinking hottest days in Los Angeles yesterday and the metal/aluminum/whatever-that-is part of my stick was so hot that I could barely drive (and this was with the soft-top up). Gave my palm some very sharp ouches!

How do you people who live in states like AZ or NV or NM deal with this? How much are hardtops?

PS: Walking on freshly sprinklered grass and then driving with tennis shoes on...Has anyone else played "slip and slide" on the clutch? I'm still getting used to this :-)

really? I do it all the time, when it is wet.

I cannot use the clutch reliably when my shoes are wet, my foot slides around too much.

really? i'd be surprised. it's a very popular rumor here in IL, but it's actually not illegal.
