I'm coming up on 50k miles and am going to get the TB and WP done.

Anyone have a good/bad experience with Don Rosen Audi in Norristown?

or

Can anyone recommend a mechanic in Delaware County or around Philadelphia I can trust my car with to do the job?

OK, just got off the phone with YBH Audi in Edgemont.

Their service tech. was generally rude, told me he can't give me an estimate without the VIN number (which I don't have at work), but he knows I don't need to replace the water pump on a TT...


So they're out.

EDIT: Tech from YBH just called me back - said he was wrong about the water pump - quoted me $650 for the whole job (4 hours worth of labor inc. belt, pump, rollers, tensioner, coolant)

In the meantime, the tech from Don Rosen called me back, and said it would be $1,385 (7 1/2 hours worth of labor for all the same parts).

So I scheduled an appointment with YBH. Hopefully they're not missing something major.

I know I should get the "upgraded" water pump - is there a part number I should be asking for or are all the new water pumps metal?
