Default P/N for timing belt cover / Safe to drive without one?

Hey guys - my timing belt cover is broken, what is the P/N for a new one? Is it this? AMU 018 222? (not sure where to look)

I'm a little bemused on how it broke from a pothole - esp when it should've been replaced a year ago. Is it safe to drive the TT without it? I can only get around by train & the nearest dealership to pick up any parts is 20 miles away.

TIA ~ you guys have been a real help
