Paging Mr. Schwing.. TT IC fan(s) questions

The last couple days my intercooler (In/Out) gauge has been very informative. It's HOT and humid and I've never seen gauge temps like this. Just in traffic cruising shows "IN" temps at 225F and "OUT" temps at 150F... That's some hot air!!! I'm not even talking about "on boost" driving temps. The "IN" side get close to 300F!

Obviously HP suffers with these HOT intake air temps.

I'm really thinking about those fans you mentioned. I see Spal has several small sizes. Is 6.5 too wide? Do I have to remove the front end to install them. Could a puller (under the fender liner) work? (I'm concerned a fan in front of the IC(s) would potentially block air flow .

TIA

Chris....get my email?....>>

I ordered the stuff for the speed triggered fan relay from Australia (got an extra set for you or whomever). I think a puller behind the liner would work fine. I think there's enough room. Pull off one of your fender liners and check for clearance. (cannot do on mine in current config!).I also ordered some digital temp gauges so I'll set my FMIC up for in and out readings like you have and be able to do some temp comparisions with the FMIC vs. Stock. I went out for a run the other day (95 degrees) to dial in the mister some more, and I have to say, I'm not getting any noticeable power decreases with my APR and FMIC/Mister. Pulls like a bear ALL the time.....

Must have missed it at home...

I'll certainly snag the other set from you.... Just lemmy know $ and I'll paypal it to you (or whatever you wish).

6 1/2" fans fit OK?

Ok....I'll let you know.....>>

When the stuff gets here. Probably $35 or so. I'm assuming you read the article? Probably good to put a manual cut-off switch in too for winter time. I'll measure my old IC's tonight. I had figured a pair of 6.5's for the FMIC.

Thanks...

I figure the fans would at least keep air moving across them while in traffic.
