Part (Body & Otherwise) Availability for MK1's??
So I've acquired 2001 Audi TT Quattro that had a minor front end collision. Basically, I'm looking at replacing the hood, bumper cover, radiator support, radiator, & A/C condenser.
Of these, I'm having the hardest time locating a "reasonably priced" front bumper cover! Are parts for early TT's hard to come by? Anyone have any suggestions (I've already scoured the salvage market in my area).
The experience thus far has me questioning if I should even bother with the rebuild because of part availability & the economics.

I am in the same boat as you when it comes to the front bumper. I've been considering getting the bumper new from ECS tuning as I have gotten plenty of parts from them. Good reliable company with decent prices on parts. however, the bumper is still kind of pricey no matter what. The standard bumper is about $730, if im not mistaken, the S-Line version is $1200 plus then you need new grilles are inserts. Long story short, the only place you will find a front bumper for cheap is from a salvage yard, but that's like finding a needle in a hay stack because most of the cars are totaled in front end collisions.
My current debate is going with an aftermarket bumper which will look different (has a larger grille like the ones on the 2005+ A8) as they are around $700 or less.
Unfortunately I haven't found any other good options other than these, and I've been looking for over 2 years now, however, my bumper isn't nearly as bad as yours. So for me it hasn't been as much of pressing issue.

Any updates here? I had a hit and run on my S5 and noticed it’s significantly cheaper to go with the JC Sportline RS style bumper. Curious if you bought it and if the quality is good?
