parts help, please help me!
so i went to the dealership today to get a vehicular inspection...next thing i know it wont pass, they say i have bad tie rods and i need new rear brake pads. no biggie right? wrong, they wanted like $500++ for everything. So my question is, where can i get new tie rods? or i think he said somethin that i could get a ball joint...

i've said this before...it's a SERIOUS f'ing conflict of interest when the same dude who gets to say "pass" or "fail" stands to make a financial gain by saying "fail."

new york state, its a 2000 TT with 99,000 miles
there is like a loud rubbing squeeking noise when i back up and use the brakes, i know i have bad brake pads but the noise doesn't sound like the pads. so am i looking for new tie rods all together, or new ball joints???
