Default PCV valve hidden so no one can find it ...uggggg>>

As I learn the maintenence/get ready to drive drill, some things amaze me. Take the PVC valve location in the 225. Encapsulated in rubber it is. Hidden away below the intake plenum it is. X-ray eyes needed to find it. Even Obi-Wan couldnt change it with out removing the manifold. What were the designers thinking?

On the good side everything is coming together. The cog belt changeover went well along with halfway rebuilding the car. Just a few more items and it will be ready to roll. (:&lt))).

It's not impossible to do the swap with the intake manifold in place

Default Same valve on most Audi's around that time. Just harder to get at on the tt.

The valve itself can be cleaned with solvent most times but the hose itself deteriorates and should be replaced at 60K ~ 80K.

> but the hoses/elbos were in remarkably good shape for 90K. It looks all original under there.

I did break the dipstick tube trying to remove it...I thot I would be careful withthe slide hammer but its plastic crapola. Careful inspection of the bottom of the plastic handle of the stick revealed disintegration also.

Is it never gonna endddd.....? (:<0.

Default Heat deteriorization.....>

You'll find it everywhere....Once you rebuild everything, you'll be good for another 100K!
