Yes!!! Toyo RA-1s or Dunlop SP Super Sport Race...
...hands down, no contest...absolute best in the dry, acceptable in the rain.
No street tire will come close to the adhesion and turn in precision of a competition tire like the RA-1 or Dunlop SP-SSR.
IMO of the DOT approved track/competition tires, ie., street legal tire that you can DE or road race, only the RA-1s or the Dunlops SP-SSR are practical as a full time street tire. Tread depth is 6/32 or 8/32? The RA-1s are widely used as a real race tire in the rain. The Dunlops are newer, but from the looks of the tread, probably would be comparable in the rain, perhaps even superior to the RA-1s in the rain. The Dunlops will wear better. In any case none of the other DOT approved comp tires are practical on the street. You'll definitely get better better wear out of the PS2 or the GS-D3, which are great tires. But if you track or DE/HPDE your car at all this particular advantage tends to be lost. btw, the GS-D3s at full tread _will_ chunk out on the track - personal experience.
The Dunlops are a steal at $119 and about $70 less than the RA-1s The Dunlops come in the stock 225/45/17 size, the RA-1s come in a 235/45/17 or 235/40/17 closet that I'm aware of.
