And what a joy!!!! Already put on about 600 miles in 3 days. Just one query though:

1 Do audi bench run in the engine, or do you have to take it really easy from the first 1000 miles?

They bench test one engine in 500 I think. I ran my in the classic way, gradual loading of the engine.

... there are some tips on 'running in' somewhere in the manual. Their reckoning is that for about the first 1500km, no full throttle, no consistent high engine speeds, do not exceed more than 3/4 top speed.. or something like that. I've done over 900 miles now, and it's loosening up nicely...
