Default Pothole claims strut or worse..TBD

The NY roads have claimed another victim. I was dodging the potholes on 9W south of the TPZ (for those in the area) and caught one bad enough that the RF strut appears to be a bit taller than the LF. And the rattle it makes is not good. Off the shop this week. Hello rental car. Too bad NYS has a No Claim policy from 11/1 to 4/15 every year. Cha Ching! And I replaced them about 8 months ago too. Oh well. Just thought I would share.

Default probably just smashed/crushed the strut bearing >

not a huge deal, if you had skills and a place to work you could handle it yourself for a couple of bucks (like $50 or $100, depending on what you do - new bushings, bearings, etc.).

Default

My thoughts as well. Under $50 for all parts and an hour's labor.

Default No time to test the skills. rental car time until it is fixed

I certainly do not want to drive my 200 mile per day commute on it rattling around in there. It sounds so awful.
