Proper way to compress springs? Steve?
I laughed when I saw this while looking through your photos Steve.

LOL....Those things..>
Had some incredible pressurization! The stockers were tougher than the Bilsteins! You HAVE to compress them to get them out of the car...The conventional wisdom on the "other forum" is to compress the suspension then use Zip ties! That wasn't such a good plan, but the ratchet straps were! With the Bilsteins and Z51 sways, the car is about Perfect... You'll have to drive it...:-)
Actually, I've used ratchet straps on springs before and it works pretty good! Hey, bottom line, it worked! <img src="http://images26.fotki.com/v960/photos/7/7305/5172821/IMG_1511-vi.jpg"> |

I bought some shocks that came pre-compressed, restrained with a zip-tie kind of strap.
I'm too embarrassed to mention which shocks though- it was for a much lower budget car.
