Protect Running Board and Stone Guard Kit

Protect Running Board and Stone Guard Kit
I need advice on protecting the running boards from scratches. My new 2002 amulet red TT has already gotten a few paint scratches just under the doors, probably from shoe scuffs from me, wife and daughter getting in and out, or from road debris. I read something on the UK TT Club site about a stone guard kit, but can't find any info on it.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to protect this area, including the possibility of the stone guard kit?
Many Thanks!

Wrote this up for someone last year...if you'd prefer it

Here are some goodies for you...wish I'd done this right away...have some nice scratches on both sills. I will definitely do this on the new TT.
Here is the 3M page which describes the Paint Protection Film -- Scotchcal...it's what all the custom shops use. The PDF on application is
there.

Wow, didn't think Xpel had this before...they have a kit just for the door
sills and rocker panels and it's only $79.95.

Well, I think that covers it. Am going to save this message in case anyone
else needs in the future.

Griots has protective film
I bought some to do my new TT as I too noticed the propensity for scratches on the rocker panel/door sill area. I bought 6 feet of 6" wide film that I plan to start at the sill protector and go over the edge and down under the car with. Cost me about $29 including positioning fluid and sqeegee.
