Default Question about N75 valves...

I'm trying to resolve this overboosting issue this morning. I have checked all of the lines coming and going from the N75, and have seen no visible cracks/holes. I'm considering throwing a new N75 in there to see if that makes a difference. My Audi dealer's parts counter is closed today, but the local VW parts department is open. Is my N75 TT225 specific, or will a VW 1.8T N75 work on our cars, too?
Like I mentioned to Hans earlier this morning, the car is really close to being complete. I just need to get the overboosting remedied and then the serious driving can begin!

Default If you can wait...

I'm in Atlanta this weekend but will be back Sunday. If you can wait until Monday we can meet up, put mine in and see if it resolves it before you go buy another. lemme know.

Default This might be a dumb idea, but.......

If you have a Modshack boost machine, can you run in parallel with the n75 and back down on your boost??

A band aid solution is not the way to go here

Default Agreed.

Too much money already spent to risk screwing it up.

Default <edited> Thought you were talking about Sunday.

Thanks for the offer, B. If McDaniel's has one in stock I'll just bite the bullet and buy one. If not, I'll give you a call and we can swap 'em out and see if that fixes it before I order one. Thanks for the help.

Default I have a new one (& possibly more importantly the box with all the codes on it)

I know it doesn't do you much good here in the Chicago burbs but maybe you can use it as a reference. My issue turned out to be a stock diverter valve that could only hold about 18lb's of boost but I had picked up a N75 at the same time in case that was the problem. Not sure if VW and Audi codes match up but:
AM015CC03
PO Number 2051012
Some incidental numbers across the top of the sticker: 058-906-283-F
Hope this helps.

Default I thought the failure mode on the N75 tended to be to open the gate.

But I guess it could stick either way.
