Default Question about which years have the Mk I front arms...

A guy at my new gig has an unspoiled 180 silver TT just about to come off his lease ;-)

Any chance he has the right ones? I already covet his rear deck lid (ala Mark's move) though I fear the lack of down force (wonder if they have wind tunnel data on that neat P-zwo trailing roof edge one, I LOVE that one!

Default Check inside his driver's side door for build date, if it's 1999 ...

most certainly a Mk1....and into early 2000. Best thing is just to get under and eyeball them.

Default Another thought....how long was his lease? 3, 4 ???

Find out lease inception date, that'll give you more information. The recall letter went out on October 29, 1999 and applied to all cars "sold" as of that date, but there were still a bunch on the lots not sold. So, if he had a three-year lease, it would mean he got it in 3/2000 .. so questionable if Mk1 or Mk2...??? Climb under the car, Rugby Boy, pretend it's a warm scrum.
