Question for Goodyear F1 owners....
 

was planning on going to the GF's house tonight, but looking out my office window, the hills are covered with snow and more is on the way apparently. My question is, am I playing with fire if I decide to go up there? snow is probably only a few inches, but the road up is a twisty mountain road.

in straight line, but turns w/ Summers + ice/snow = 4 wheel drift...the bad kind.

I wouldn't even try it... my old RE040's (OEM summers) were aweful in the snow
 

I am not kidding when I said going 10mph and pressing the brakes resulted in a block and 1/2 of travel while the ABS went nuts. Could not get up a small hill to my garage either, police put a towel on their brush bar and pushed me up it to get me home. We are talking 2 inches of snow here in Milwaukee. This was about 6 years ago, will never EVER even think about doing it any other way.

Not that we get lots a snow down here but I would say how bad do you need it??
 

Eagle F1 would probably be horrible in the snow especialy that nice chunky fluffy stuff. if its watery and slushy I'd say Go get some!!!

I've driven F1s in fresh snow that made me feel out of control at 10mph but also driven them through combination snow/slush/ice that wasnt all that different from driving with dedicated snowtires.

So...the condition of the snow alters the equation radically.

Uphill in fresh snow is something I will now avoid at all costs however.

Turn off ESP if you do it anyway and it gets bad.

You'd be better off on skis
 

The S03's on the TT are better than the F1s on the R32 and the S03's really really suck in the cold and snow.

Hope you didn't do it Ted.. you'd have to be nutz to try...
