Question to Telson owners- repost
 

Sorry, reposting since last time my question was misunderstood.

I asked earlier if the telson spoiler ext glues to underneath the stock spoiler and just hangs there. I wasn't worried about the additional leverage the telson puts on our stock spoiler. I was more concearned that if the the telson is "suspended" underneath our stock spoiler with glue, then the bond has to withstand the contant downforce from air pressure & gravity.

If it rested on top of a stationary surface, then the glue just needs to keep it in position as opposed to harboring all the force from the spoiler effect.

not that long ago showing the underside of the Telson and how it mounts. If i am correct, it slides over the OEM wing and is only subjected to the force of airflow and not gravity....
I think the OSIR site states its been tested to 200kph...and fine. So i would go with that assumption...IMO

Doesn't the side ends rests on the trunk lid? which gives it extra support?
 

that's what it looks like...the glue is under the spoiler and the Telson...the ends rests on the trunk lid...doesn't sound like it'll be a problem.

The side ends barely make contact, no problem though.

Yes, you could say it is only suspended from the stock. BUT...
 

...this glue if so friggin good that since I've installed it I've slammed the trunk shut, tried to pull it out, machine washed it the very next day, travelled at more than 250km/h and in general did my best to test the thing without it showing signs of movement.

The icing on the cake: I got my windows tinted today and the guy that did it missed a step and tried to avoid falling by grabbing the first thing he could reach... Yes, that was the Telson and yes it is still rock solid!

LOL, funny. plus the Telson makes for a nice hand grip.
