Default Questions about Phone

I just recently bought my TT. It is wired for the phone. I'm not too knowledgable on the whole phone thing. First, I have an Nokia 8260 phone with AT&T service. Is there an adapter that is available so I can use this phone or do I need a specific phone. If I need a specific phone, where do I get them and what phones are available. Thanks for all your help,

Tyler

Default Start here.

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec12.shtml

Look at:

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec10.shtml

then
https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec11.shtml

You will need a 'Hands Free' kit for your model of phone.
Follow the various sets of instructions that Ed. P has done.
You DO NOT necessarily need to build the printed circuit boards that he did to make this work, but
it aint' just an "adapter" that you need either.

Thanks, but that's a little more involved than I wanted it to be. What about the phone that Audi has. Do you just need the phone or all of that stuff in those articles as well. Thanks,

Tyler

Default The Audi phone is a brick, analog...

The handset/dial pad plugs into the center console.

The rest of the electronics plugs into the left rear area in the Coupe, or behind the passenger head area in the space the top is stored in, in the roadster.
Therefore, no, you do not need "all of that stuff" in the articles.

"all of that stuff" replaces all of the Audi stuff.
