questions, questions, questions (long)
OK, you all seem very knowledgeable about this beautiful car. Here is my situation. I can't be without a real sports car. Currently, I drive a 3rd gen RX-7 in the summer, and recently got an A41.8TQ (silver) for inclement weather (here in MN, that's most of the year). I love the A4, but have been becoming more and more obsessed with the TT. I have thought of getting rid of both cars and getting a TT225QC. I drove a 180C when it first came out, but was not that impressed with the performance (mainly acceleration) I have not yet driven a 225Q, but presume there must be a big difference. Here are my questions
1) What are the real performance numbers of the 225QC? I know I would be sacrificing some performance compared with the RX-7, but I think I could handle it.
2) Is the rear seat actually usable? And has anyone ever tried to put a child seat back there? (Don't laugh... my wife and I can no longer take weekend drives in the RX-7 now that we have a baby... this would be a HUGE plus in the TT)
3) When equipped with winter tires, how does it do in the snow and ice? I need to drive a fair distance to work year-round, and the driving conditions in MN are terrible much of the time.
4) Is there an "S" version of this car planned anytime soon?
5) Do you ever get tired of just looking at this gorgeous car? I can't imagine that's possible.

Re: questions, questions, questions (long)
1) the 225 is pretty strong -- and even better if you get it chipped;
2) my 6-year old daughter sits in the back without problems;
3) get good winter tires with the quattro and you're set! (see the other minnesota folks on the forum);
4) there are strong rumors of an s version -- perhaps will be in europe next year (here the year after that?)
5) no
get the car -- you won't be sorry.
