Quick coil pack update........
Called Audi Customer Service, very nice but not a bit of help, they back the dealer 100% So the dealer has replaced one more of my defective coil packs, that leaves one original left. They tell me there is no way to tell which ones were replaced before, they didn't do the original two. They are deciding now whether to charge me or replace it under warranty, since it was cracked, they say it was damaged and not defective. BULL$HIT!!

cracked because defective, that's what i would say. but i would opt to find out which one
they are replacing to eliminate that as a possible repair. but like others have said, even new, some coilpacks can go bad.
besides, its not like an expensive part...even if purchased at the dealer. if it makes you feel any better, replace the other three. i would wait until they fail...but carry at least 2 spares in the trunk with some tools to make the repairs on the road. don't forget the flashlight!
