Default quick TT sound system query

Am I right in thinking that whether I get the standard sound system or the Bose version, the head unit is still cassette only, and that I would need to get a CD changer to play CDs?

It seems strange that a car like this is sold with a tape deck rather than CD as standard.

Bose comes with a 6 pack CD located in rear seat arm rest behind the driver.

Default You are correct, no CD on the standard head unit. It's pre-wired for a changer, though...

...and the Bose comes with one.

Default And the standard Audi 6 disc changer can be added by your dealer...

For considerably less than the Bose package price and IMHO it sounds as good or better than the whole Bose package. Because of the nightmare of installing it, I don't recommend ordering it from Clair or someone and installing it yourself, unless you want to get really familiar with the guts of your TT...
