Default Radiator / coolant question

I drove to work today which is 5 miles from home - went to park in my favorite spot. It was 46 degrees outside, i idled my car for a minute just as what i always do before turning it off. Went out and saw this white steam-like from my radiator. I didnt checked it coz I was late at work.

I was thinking, might be the fan operating..my temp has been always normal...so could this be some water/coolant leaking in my radiator? Or is this normal?

Another question: what kind of coolant should i put in there? Regular 50/50 prestone OK?

Default 1)How much steam? Is coolant level low? 2)NO, only VW/Audi G12 coolant>>

Part number at the dealer is G001200 I believe. You can also buy it at <a href="http://www.sasponline.com">sasponline</a> or <a href="http://www.worldimpex.com">world impex</a>.

Default Thanks CrazyTT - I just remembered, i washed my car including the engine late yesterday.

Might be some water, soap and/or simple green left there. But is it possible that it can stay there after a 5-mile drive? I'd think it could have evaporated already. Well, thanks for the good input. This forum is the best place to be

Washing your engine will produce steam for a while... nothing to worry about.
