Default Is a Radiator Cooling Fan a Do-It-Yourselfer?

I just got a quote for $225 for labor. I looked under the hood and it looks like something that I could do. It looks like a few screws and wire or two.

TIA

Default Im guessing this was a stupid question.

By no one saying anything I am guessing that my answer is a YES, it is a DIY.

Default I wish i had an answer for you, it's no fun when people ignore a question

I'm sure several posters in here can let you know what's involved in the job

consider buying a Bentley guide. I'm going to buy one in the next few days, I think it'll prove useful, and save me some money doing work myself.

Yes, but the question really is 'why do you believe you need a new fan? How many miles?

Default Because it isnt spinning when the engine is saying that it is hot.

Plus a mechanic saying that it isnt working also tells me that I need a new fan.

Default I know just a simple "yes" would work for me.

I have made an appointment to take my car in tomorrow to let someone else fix it. I am planning on buying the book.
