Default Radio Problems,....anybody else have this happen......

well i turned my car on and the radio came on but had no sound and no numbers/text. I turned the car off and back on again same thing, and the radio stayed lit up while the car was off. I even tried turining the radio off and it stayed the same....here are two pics with the car off. Anyone else have this problem before? Is my radio toast? thanks for any help -Ryan
btw-sorry for the blurry first pic

You check your fuse panel and the fuse in the radio itself?

Do you have access to a VAG-COM? It can scan that radio for you

Okay...I have been lurking here for a while now...doing nothing but soaking up everyone's knowledge. Time for payback!

I had this problem with my TT radio. I took the car to the dealer to repair this same problem. Believe it or not...they did not charge me to repair the problem.

They took the radio out...then put it back in, that was it. Since then it has worked great with no problems (knocking on wood)!

This same thing happened to me yesterday. I started/stopped the car 3 or 4 times, no diff, then pulled/reinserted the fuse. All better. Strange.

Help! My Battery went dead and I got a boost.
Unfortuantely, The ternianls were crossed.
The radio went dead. I replaced the main fuse and every time I put in a new fuse it blows. The dealer spent 5 hours tring to find the problem.
Any ideas?
Can I run new power wires to a diffent fuse?
will it work is it safe?
