Default Rear "bunny hop"

I have a 2004 1.8L Mk1 and when I go over a pothole with one side of the car (either left or right), the rear of the car "bunny hops" (the rear wiggles) to the side, instead of tracking straight. My former 2000 1.8L Mk1 did not do this. I have the car up on the lift and don't feel any loose components, but the Audi suspension is new to me so probably am not looking for the right thing. Looking for suggestions of what it could be. Thanks.

My 02 225 Coupe does the exact same thing. I've had alignments before but it never seemed to correct it. Did you figure it out?

Have you had alignment checked? The only thing I think of that would cause this is excessive toe in or out. That would wear tires quickly though.
