Well somewhat... I'm not the smartest around but here's my experiences...

My MAP sensor went on me. Well when mine went I don't know what codes I had but the car went into a hard throttle cut limp mode then I had to disconnect it to get the car working (soft limp 5psi). I forget the exact code I have but this code sounds like it's leading to that and I just don't want to see you stranded!
On the SAI... Do you hear it whine when your car turns on? In VAG I think there is a test to turn the SAI on while the cars off so you can hear it hum. It's under Engine/readiness tests or adjustments.. something on the right pane I can check in my car tomorrow if you want.
Okay so if your not hearing the pump turn on then the controller is under the front of the intake manifold. It plugs in a two pin connector there and maybe that came loose? Maybe that sensor is broken. I have had mine removed from the black metal panel but I think it's on the bottom of that with a vac. line plugging into it too. Since I did a thermostat 2 years ago I removed that black panel then last year I deleted my SAI system (well half of it). However I do know that if I don't put a resistor (330ohm/10w) in that SAI controller plug then the SAI pump doesn't run. I can hear the SAI pump run now that I put a resistor back in, however, it's just sucking atmosphere in and spitting it right back out : ) I haven't got around to buying a block off plate yet.. : (
So check that connector and electronic system. I think it's N111 (SAI solenoid) and the N112 is the backup boost controller solenoid on top of the motor.
The SAI not running would cause the incorrect flow part. That or one of the plastic lines that run from the SAI pump to the metal valve to the right of the motor has been kinked or broken. Before I removed the second part of my system (these lines and cleaned some stuff up) I found that one of my SAI plastic pipes was getting hit by the fan lightly and it made a hole in it. Another part of the hose had a crack in it... So you could be loosing air and then the senor that senses air moving wouldn't respond and it thinks the SAI is busted.
Just a few ideas. Goodluck man!
