Recap of "Rally in the Valley" (longish)
The local Porsche Club of America chapter held a gimmick Rally this past Sunday. The local ACCNA members were invited as well as other car clubs in the MD/DC/NOVA area. There were old/new Porsches, BMWs, VWs, WRXs, and of course Audis.
Here is a pic of the TT contingent. There was at least another TT (an ALMS much like DennyTT's). Didn't get to meet that owner though :-(. From left to right is Steve (sp703) and wife Jennel(sp?), my wife Heejin, and Pat's friend (sorry forgot the name) and Pat (PaTT).

We were given a set of directions that were sometimes encoded (letters scrambled or synonyms to the actual street name). Along the way we had to answer questions, answers to which were on the route somewhere - signs. There was also a scavenger hunt aspect that included items like bicentennial quarters, MD flag etc which if picked up counted towards extra points. At the start of the rally, each car resets the trip odo to zero and at the end, the mileage is noted to see if the team (car, driver, navigator) stuck to the route as closely as possible. Any overage in milage was deducted from the total points.
The route was on very twisty and narrow country roads. Speed and time were not a factor in the points, so traversing the route at low speeds was encouraged to see as much as poissible to answer all of the questions.
This is one chance where the passenger takes on more responsibility than the driver, and thus is activly involved in the event. My wife had a great time being the navigator and head scout. I highly recommend this event. We finished somewhere in the middle of the pack amongst 50+ cars. I think Pat did the best amongst the TTs, but Steve didn't get their point total calculated because they got held up looking for the Bicentennial Quarter....
And here of course is a gratuitous pic of my car. My brakes are way too small ;-)

Darn right I did the best among the TT's! (more)
Gotta change my sig to brag about that...
Sang is right, it was an excellent event. Most fun I've had in the car without exceeding a speed limit.
The ALMS TT still had the dealer sticker in the window and was driven by a guy with a Valley Moters sweater on, so I think it was a demonstrator.
That quarter screwed us up, too ... BECAUSE SANG STOLE OURS

Sang, I have some more pics of your and the other's car in ...
my pic poster, including pics earily similar to the one you posted. Although the focus was on the reflection . It was good seeing you there, we need more Audis there next time around. I'm already plotting a victory plan! It was a perfect day in terms of weather and scenery, and seeing lots of awesome Audi (and non-Audi) people.
