Regarding brake squeals,
taking the car for routine maintenance: anything I can ask the technician so that he solves that months-old annoying squeaking problem (since I know he's gonna say everything looked fine)?

I have an incurable brake squeal
Have done everything I can think of to get rid of it. Rebedded, removed pads and cleaned and reapplied disc brake quiet THREE TIMES. Works for about a day and then the squeal comes back.

I've got some Hawk ceramic pads I'd give you that don't squeal or cover the wheels with brake dust.
Course they don't STOP very good. :-)
I'm ready to go back to the dust and the squeal.

Bad enough to upset brake balance if used rear only.
My new set of Pagids (impex had them on sale-- 1/2 the price of Hawk HPS) came in today. Looking forward to being able to stop again :-)
