Remote falling off ring. Fix?

Remote falling off ring. Fix?
Ever since I bought my TT I've had a problem with the remote coming off the ring. When you pry the ring to one side the hook on the remote opens up and the ring comes out. Does any one manufacture something to kep this from happening?

Do you have the little "figure 8" swivel between the remote and ring? My wife's Passat never had...
one, but rentals in Europe did. The following week, my wife's Passat had one, and a rental in Europe didn't... mysterious ; )
Anyway, the TT came with the swivel on the remote. Without it, the ring pries out. With it, the prying action is absorbed in to rotation in the swivel.
If you have no idea what I am talking about, I can post a picture later.

Go to your local fishing tackle shop and get some of these...
