Default Repost from 6/1: I was off-forum today because, as Mance would say, I was "frying other fish"

Actually, I spent a good part of the day and had a delightful lunch with forum poster T. P. Mangan (AKA Tom). As many here know, Tom flew east to Pennsylvania to pick up his TT Roadster at Holbert Porsche Audi Volkswagen. But that's his story, and I am going to let him tell it, because I want him to enjoy every minute.

The following pictures are my story...<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=3177"><img src="http://members.home.net/cmelick/audipics/sig6.jpg" border="0" alt="Click Image to View Registry Information"></a>

Default The thread that had it's pictures deleted appears directly above...

AudiWorld, in its infinite wisdom, decided that the pictures of Al Holbert's car were somehow off topic. God only knows why. I guess because it's a Porsche (but does Porsche talk to Piech?). I have reposted these "offensive" pictures above, after emailing Neil M, AudiWorld's picture poster guru, who has not, as of the time of this post, replied.

They may take a few seconds to download, because I have put them on web space I "own" as part of my contract with my cable copmpany. Therefore, Audiworld is not billed for the expense of storing them. So ejoy viewing a piece of racing history on me. I think all of you are worth it. And I think Al Holbert, and the memories he gave racing fans, are worth it.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=3177"><img src="http://members.home.net/cmelick/audipics/sig6.jpg" border="0" alt="Click Image to View Registry Information"></a>

Default Neil does not do the deletions, it's actually Goober the Jpeg Axeman...

Goober was the product of an incestous affair between a mentally retarded beet farmer and his 400 pound sister. So Goober was born and not only was he hideously ugly, but he also had an IQ of only 60. However, one thing that Goober had going for him was a love of all things Audi.

One day, Jason Teller was driving his A4 through the countryside, enjoying a beautiful day, when he ran out of gas due to a defective fuel sensor. So he began walking down the dusty rural road, in search of help. Fortunately, Jason came upon Goober, who syphoned fuel from his tractor and allowed Jason to get on his way.

Jason has never forgot ol' Goober, and as a measure of his gratitude, he gave Goober his old Pentium 286, and the administrative passwords to the AudiWorld site. And Goober has but one simple task, to edit pics that are not Audi.

So now you know the story of Goober the Jpeg Axe Man. Cheers to him, and Goober, please do not engage in that sort of behavior with the barnyard animals!<p><img src="http://home.san.rr.com/winefinds/1.jpg" border="0">

Default Send comments to goober@audiworld.com. Use simple words though, Goober's not too quick!

Default No, he lives on a farm in the sticks. Glued to his 286, he scours the forum for non-Audi pics!
