Default REPOST: My question on the boost gauge was deleted for some reason . . . why???

Anyway, here is the question once again:

What is your boost gauge reading at idle? I originally said mine was 20" Hg, but I rechecked it tonight. While warming up the gauge is showing 10-15" and once warm it settles in at 24" Hg or vacuum.

I live at the ocean. I have a 180TTQ with a Garrett Stage II chip and Borla exhaust.

Default That's kinda odd..

Your car changes 9 - 14" of Hg when warming up? On the 10-15 measurement that you state, was your compressor on?

On my stage 3 A4, I get this:

Cold idle (no AC): 18/19
Cold idle (AC): 17
Warm idle (no AC): 19/20
Warm idle (AC): 17.5

Two things to note: Relatively small change when running the compressor, and also again a very small change from cold to warm idle.

Most vacuum I see is 24" Hg on trailing edge throttle. Most boost I've seen is 25 psi.

Default AC has not been on. I will take a look today and see what it shows.

The most boost I have seen is 18 or 19 psi.

Default 18 to 19 is perfectly normal for a spike.

I'd personally be a little wary though if it was holding that much boost throughout the RPM band.

I'm not really sure, but 180's have a K03 turbo, right?

APR chip, custom exhaust and mine reads @ 20hg (unless it is warming up)

Default Larry -- your question is still there. -------

After your recheck, your readings are the same as mine.

Default Yes, K03 . . .

I am talking about a spike of 18/19 psi, then it slowly drops down. Does that in each gear. Wish it would hold the 15+ psi longer
