Default The results of BillK's poll...

I posted this below, in BillK's thread: "Pondering cancelling my TT order..."

But, I thought the results were interesting enough to post on the top of the page, for those who figure that thread is dead:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I just tallied up all the responses you've gotten.
Of the TT owners here, 23 more or less said: Get the TT.
3 were more or less neutral.
(A couple may not be TT owners, I had to guess)
3 non-TT owners suggested you cancel.
3 non-TT owners suggested you buy.
1 non-TT owner was rather neutral.
There were a couple irrelevant posts.
Think about this Bill: You came to this forum to get some insight about this car. You came to the conclusion that it's unreliable. You think owning one might be too much of a hassel.
But that's NOT what owners are saying, is it? Not ONE TT owner suggested you cancel! NOT ONE!!!
We aren't AoA appologists. We don't get paid by Audi to post here. We can be Audi's most vocal opponants at times. We're opinionated, and say what we feel. We disgree about some things.
But we all seem to agree on one thing
...get the TT!<p><img SRC=http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/mmttsig.jpg BORDER=0>
Default And I appreciate the results
It is quite interesting to see that the owners, the ones who have to deal with the problems, all feel the pluses far outweigh the minuses.
I apologize to all, but I think you can see the "mood" one gets into while waiting for their car after reading all the faults posted here. The responses of the owners have brightened my spirits, and I'm also hopeful that the "phantom" H DV DOES exist and DOES solve the problem...
Thanks again...
Default Agreed; only problem with my TT is the dealership, @ssholes to the core! (more for BillK)
Even with those knuckleheads, I would still buy again from the same dealer if I had too.
I think most owners share my opinion in that you will no longer just own a vehicle, you will luv your vehicle, passionately....you'll look forward to washing it, Z....ing it (waxing), driving it, and moding it, even dreaming about it. The best part is, you no longer need those dreams because the TT can make them all come true.
I think most of the negative talk on the forum comes about because us owners care so much about our car, that small issues gets blown out of proportion. Most of the negatives about the TT sounded off on this board would also apply to other new vehicles – I have yet to hear of a new vehicle that comes with no brake dust, and no problems, etc... You name a vehicle you are interested in, and I sure someone can name numerous common issues you can expect by purchasing that other vehicle.
I think it speaks volumes when you read about the owners who got a lemon TT, and find out that there next vehicle was another TT. We’re not necessarily always b!tching about our TTs, we’re complaining about our personal preferences, inclinations, tendencies, opinions and so forth, or the fact that our beloved vehicle hasn’t left port yet!
