Default Rotburgers. Pulled the pass side fuel pump today to clean sender...didn't cure problem

have the same problem others have reported; gauge goes way past full on fill up, then after 300 miles is only down to between 1/2 and 3/4. Went and picked up a seal Fri, then did it this morning. Kind of a PITA job, but it would be easier now that I know what I'm doing. Writeups and Bentley didn't exactly prepare me for putting it back together-- nothing says that there isn't anything that literally locates the pump in the bottom of the tank. Geting the pump out is a close fit, and of course, all the lines and hoses in the way don't help.
No signs of any corrosion on the contacts at all, but I cleaned them anyway. Not sure if I will get another seal and pull the driver side unit and check it. Talking to Rod at Currys the other afternoon while having my alignment done and tires mounted, he said he's starting to see more failures of the sender itself on the higher mileage/older cars.
Guess I'll have to pull this one back out to disconnect the lines for the driver side one. PITA x 2.... :&gt

Default Did you try the Techron cure?....>

MarTT posted a link the other day to a chevron page. Apparently it's common with lots of cars now......

4 fill-ups in a row, added a bottle each time. Could by why no sign or anything in the tank.

I cleaned the Primary (passenger side) sender that fixed my problem.
